<p>'Himalayan Undye' is a project of rugs handmade in Nepal, using only Himalayan wool, not dyed and knotted on a cotton warp.<br />
Behind it, the will to project a really natural collection and easy to place, thanks to the delicate tonal colour shades of the wool, which are the heart of the design.<br />
The wool – not dyed but selected by the colour – come from high altitude Himalayan sheep, the best kind of wool for rugs, a yarn with natural movement and long fibre structure which guarantee high resistance and softness. In planning the decorative patterns we respected the specificity of Tibetan rug weaving: big knots and simple processing technique, playing with patterns, lights and shadows, which remind natural elements. Wangden 1 is hand-knotted - 60 knots/inch - in Nepal using 100% Himalayan undyed wool pile knotted to a cotton warp.</p>
