The four-legged Series 7 chair represents the culmination of the pressure-moulding technique that Søren Hansen, founder Fritz Hansen’s grandson, spent the 1920s and 30s refining. The iconic shape of the Series 7 is the result of Arne Jacobsen’s exploration of the possibilities of steam-bent veneer. The best selling chair in Fritz Hansen’s history comes in 3 different finishes: Natural veneer, coloured ash or lacquered. All chairs are made of pressure moulded sliced veneer with a base of chromed steel.
The shell is also available in front- or fully upholstered versions in a wide range of fabrics and leather types. A range of materials and colours are available in a number of combinations. Prices may vary.
