Reversível Lounge Chair

Fruit of the creative genius of the architect and designer Martin Eisler, Reversível is a historic piece of Carioca design, and Tacchini fell in love with its incredibly innovative style. With the simplicity of its lines and movement, this armchair transforms with casual elegance. The dynamic, flexible reissue of Reversível offers dual comfort with two possible seat positions, to sit in the chair with the back upright, or really relax in a semi-reclining position, parallel with the backrest. The simple, natural movement makes it seem an obvious solution, but it actually represents as ground-breaking an intuition now as then. This original, informal seat with its distinctive lines is completed with a metal structure and fabric coverings. Reversível bears witness to the soft, sensuality of Brazilian 1950s design, a combination of tradition and creativity, folk craft and visionary innovation.

Pastilles Ottoman - The new project with Studiopepe is a collaboration with designers Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, the creative minds behind the consultancy. Pastilles is a collection of small armchairs, ottomans and coffee tables, with soft and enveloping shapes that bring back childhood memories, the sweets. A contemporary reinterpretation of the classic cockpit armchair, with a sinuous shell that contains the seat and that gives excellent comfort to the design. Completed by two tables of different sizes and an armchair, these elements create a matched family of shapes that can be used as a system or as a single object. The minimum order quantity is two. Mantiqueira Red 25 Vase - These inspired creations lie midway between art and design, defying definition. The new Mantiqueira by Domingos Tótora for Tacchini Edizioni are an original artistic encapsulation of the way nature and craftsmanship elicit a shift towards ethics. The Brazilian designer creates these objects using recycled cardboard, instilling them with all the authentic intensity of this material, which is transformed and shaped into a new life. Tótora’s vases are the fruit of a certified, sustainable, labour-intensive process, in which recycled cardboard is reduced to a pulp, then worked and moulded by hand, giving shape to sculptural pieces that are then dried in the sun, and subsequently finished. The artistic procedure is quite evocative, taking cardboard, a derivative of wood, and transforming its appearance into something extremely similar to the very wood from which it comes.
