Opalino Vase

Designed by Paolo Venini in 1932, this mouth-blown vase is handmade using the 15th-century opaline technique, with white "lattimo" encased in layers of red-colored glass producing an intense and luminous effect. The long neck and flared mouth evoke classic shapes. “The Opalino vase is all about sophisticated and unique colours, thanks to the use of the traditional Opalino technique. This method was first introduced in the 15th century to make glass resembling porcelain – milk glass or Lattimo – and is now revisited by VENINI.
