Leather Rocking Chair

Under small pressure of the solo show, Fien and Hannes made their iconic seats with a leather cloth spanned between two horizontal bars. After that, they designed the rocking chair which is constructed by the same principal. Just as with all Muller Van Severen’s designs, transparency is key. And so it swings through the space of the interior without ever covering the background.

Hanging Lamp No 2 Brass - Although most design lovers know of Muller Van Severen for their furniture, the design couple’s story actually kicked off with the conception of these hanging lamps. “It all started out of necessity”, Hannes explains. “We were working in our new home which is an old house. Above the table there wasn’t a socket in the ceiling to stick a lightbulb in, so we designed a lamp that could hang from the wall”. Like all Muller Van Severen’s furniture, the lamps add a sober but colourful line to the interior. On one hand the sober design doesn’t draw too much attention, on the other hand its playful character does tingle the eye. The lamps create space rather than filling it up.

Lamp frame comes in steel or brass tube, powder coated finish. Wall brackets and lamp sockets have a brass colour. Lamp shade is in white glass. Light bulb is half mirrored. | Arteficius

Lucy Large Rug - <p>The Alfred Collection consists of five series (Fran, Frenzy, Lucy, Ivy, Billie) of handwoven minimalist carpets made by Belgian textile designers Marie Mees and Athérine Biasino. All carpets are hand-woven with a mixture of two top-shelf wools from New Zealand and Portugal, the first offering the right softness and look, the other adding strength. By offering highly durable and supremely sober carpets, the Alfred Collection honours the archetype of the carpet, pure in form and in function, making it the perfect textile for the minimalist interior of the design admirer. Composition of the carpet is a mixture of Merino, New Zealand and Beira Alta (Portuguese wool).</p>
