Favn is the Danish word for embrace, is a result of a creative dialogue between the Spanish designer, Jaime Hayon and Fritz Hansen. The sofa’s open and rounded curves are inviting, and perfect for relaxation, work and everything in-between. The shell consists of two parts; a base and a back shell, both are made from hard polyurethane foam with fiberglass reinforcement. Both parts have an embedded steel frame and the base is mounted nozag springs as well. The base and back shell are assembled with 6 steel brackets and Hex screws (can also be disassembled for moving with a Hex key no.4). The outside of the back shell and base is covered with a thin, soft layer of polyurethane foam and wadding.
The Favn sofa comes in a selection of unique Designer Selections colours in a mix of 3 fabrics; one fabric for the shell, a second for the seat and back cushions, and a third fabric for the small decorative cushions. The sofa is also available in a wide range of standard fabrics. The 4 legs are made of brushed aluminium and a set of large felt glides (for soft wooden floors) comes with the sofa as a standard.
A range of materials, colours and finishes are available in a number of combinations. Prices may vary. Please enquire for full details.
