Arteficius conceived an oasis of calm in the bustle of the City for Fora’s new co-working space located on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch. At the vibrant intersection of the City and London's creative quarter, the latest Fora space is arranged over seven floors, boasts ample natural light, and features an airy top floor with roof terraces.
Arteficius have applied their extensive knowledge of the Italian manufacturing landscape combined with their far-reaching network of independent designers to curate a carefully-sourced selection of furniture, lighting and objets to create a modern, flexible but functional co-working space.

Simona Auteri, co-founder of Arteficius, comments: ’We like to bring together the most creative minds to create bespoke and sustainably produced spaces, furniture and objects from concept right through to execution. Our partners include small to medium scale, family-run factories in Italy but also independent designers all around Europe who understand our vision and actively take part in the research of tailor-made solutions for our projects.’
Sofia Steffenoni, co-founder of Arteficius, adds: ‘It is important for us to collaborate with names who are not necessarily on everyone’s radar but who are quietly producing fantastic work that we feel needs to be more widely recognised. For example, for the new Fora space in Shoreditch, we worked with Berlin-based designer Anastasiya Koshcheeva who created beautiful bespoke stools made of birchbark stripes for the telephone booths.
Waiting Area
“Fora’s brief was to create spaces which felt industrial to echo the architecture of the area. We responded by proposing designs which combined both modern and vintage aesthetics. A layer of tactility was added with surfaces and furniture rich in woods, leathers and velvets; a distinctly contemporary look was maintained by fusing these with a colour palette of cool and neutral tones”.
