Red Edition is a Parisian brand which seeks to bring about timeless design through the modernization of artisanal craftsmanship. With its head in Paris, its heart in Italy and Vietnam, Red Edition embodies its artisanal heritage. Since it began in 2007, Red Edition caught the attention of customers and editors alike first for its particular use of Vietnamese lacquer. In addition to Vietnam, the collection is created in the Brianza region of Italy, the epicenter for many high-end furniture manufacturers. With a team there on-site, Red Edition benefits from the proximity to local artisans and their expertise. Drawing on these two geographical regions for inspiration Red Edition offers a distinct look through its unique mix of details and finishes. For example, the caning techniques and use of natural fibers in the latest collection offer a fresh, Parisian elegance to an otherwise standard technique. Another hallmark of Red Edition design is the daring combination of materials and colors such as tmarble, brass mixed with lacquer; subtle hues and tones contrasting bold dark colors.
