Faina

FFAINA, established in 2014, stands as a Ukrainian design brand founded by Victoria Yakusha. Embodying the principles of live minimalism, FAINA's collection features items characterized by "naive design" — simple in form yet deeply philosophical. Victoria Yakusha draws inspiration from a study of the daily traditions of ancestors, exploring the times of Trypillia and the Scythian civilization, as well as Slavic household habits. By incorporating the forms, materials, and craft techniques of those eras, Yakusha brings a modern reinterpretation to create a distinctive collection of bold and unique objects. As an authentic assemblage of furniture, lighting, and décor, FAINA is led by Victoria Yakusha, a Ukrainian-born architect and designer. Her approach to design is rooted in a 'live minimalism' aesthetic, focusing on texture and sensuous shapes to invite a connection with the soul of each object. Established in response to significant social-cultural changes in Ukraine, FAINA is deeply intertwined with the country's cultural heritage, presenting the best of modern Ukrainian design. Victoria Yakusha, the visionary behind FAINA, is a Ukrainian designer-architect and the head of the YAKUSHA studio. With a passion for Ukrainian culture and traditions, Victoria has become synonymous with contemporary Ukrainian design, crafting her unique style known as 'live minimalism.' She holds an architectural degree from Prydniprovska State Academy and Institute of National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), France. Founded in 2006, YAKUSHA studio, under Victoria's leadership, engages in various design disciplines, including architecture, interior design, product design, and creative direction. Victoria's architectural and interior designs are distinguished by a laconic yet sensual approach, employing textures that engage the senses and encourage a profound connection with the essence of the objects. FAINA's collection, curated by Victoria Yakusha, is a testament to the brand's commitment to reinterpreting tradition, infusing it with modernity, and creating objects that resonate with cultural depth.
